Franz Joseph Glacier The Big Noodle Shop

This was a rare and unbelievable day. They don't get many better day than this, bright and clear day here at the Glacier. We could fly by Heli to the base camp on the Glacier and have a 2 days hiking. But we took a heli hike day trip instead. It is still the tour of our life, winding in and out through the Glacier.

The below pictures are on the way down to the base of the Glacier. The photo on the right, you can see the Tazman Sea in the distance. The part of the Glacier that we were on was about 9000' above Sea level with MT Cook (the tallest MT in NZ) in the background.
